who need us. Our continuum of care meets physical, emotional and basic needs whether it’s as simple as supplying personal hygiene products or providing a home. Through the leadership of our residential coordinators comes a profound impact on the lives of those who make their home with us. Being responsible for the care of individuals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week all 365 days of the year has its challenges.
It takes not only intelligence and professional skill—it takes commitment and passion and most certainly service above self. It’s not always an enviable position. As part of a person-centered team, the focus of residential care
is on quality of life for each person.
Amid a multitude of state and federal licensing and regulations residential service providers must contribute the ultimate of service day in and day out. Pandemics do not give us a pass from keeping our standards high.
Oftentimes this privilege to serve others is a journey that extends to their end of life. Inevitable doesn’t mean less painful. During this time of year as holidays draw near, our thoughts return to those who have enriched our lives. The memories of people we have supported are especially poignant for those just starting to find their role in this passionate business of serving people and it never fades for those who have spent their careers trying to make the lives of others better. These people are the reason we come to work, 24/7/365.
