Position Purpose
Provides support and leadership expertise for activities relating to special needs services, emergency/sick childcare services, agency education needs, and volunteer programming, in keeping with the overall goals and objectives of Fraser to ensure quality services.
Develops new and enhanced program methods and resources that facilitate appropriate care of children with special needs, including assessing child and family needs in order to formulate, recommend, and implement services.
Job Purpose
Develops new and enhanced program methods and resources that facilitate appropriate care of special needs children, including assessing child and family needs in order to formulate, recommend, and implement services.
Provides orientation and in-service training to staff in regards to special programming.
Provides guidance and appropriate behavior management to children, which includes physical intervention as required.
Provide curriculum training for childcare staff on the Stimulating Maturity through Accelerated Readiness Training (S.M.A.R.T.) program.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood special education, learning disabilities, social work, psychology, or similar area with two years work experience in related field.
